According to the school calendar, the event was supposed to be Maths & Science Society Day. It was scheduled to be in August. (NO) Thanks to the H1N1 outbreak, we had the date postphoned to October and for some reason or other to November. Planning started as early as March. The department was ambitious and wanted to organise a week long affair but we had to be less ambitious, and cut it down to two days. November 6 & 7 were the dates chosen unanimously and they fall right after the final exams. We practically had ONE day to put up an exhibition, science booths, and two competitions. To quote a famous saying, "All's well that ends well". There was a BIG sigh of relief that went round the department and (I am just guessing this), the (acting)pricipal's office. The CEO, was impressed, and he in turn impressed it on US (the department) that there should be a bigger and better show next year!!
